Instant Pot Miso Chicken
I couldn’t find any miso chicken recipes for the Instant Pot, so I created my own! During the week, I’m all about quick cooking, simple recipes. This delicious concoction is only FIVE ingredients (including the chicken!).
I’m obsessed with ANYTHING miso, and it happens to be really awesome for gut health. Miso is a fermented food that adds beneficial microorganisms to your digestive tract. Did you know that our gut is now considered our second brain? We’ve only begun to understand the gut microbiome and I think it’s so fascinating!
This recipe is just as easy as my Instant Pot Asian Chicken.
My other favorite miso recipe (that I actually make at least once per week!) is my Miso Baked Meatballs. If you’re feeling seafood, check out my Miso Glazed Scallops!

- 1 lb chicken thighs fresh or frozen (I always cook from frozen!)
- 1/4 cup miso paste
- 1/4 cup Bragg’s Liquid Aminos or soy sauce or tamari
- 1/4 cup pure honey
- 1/2 teaspoon sesame oil probably optional, but adds flavor

- Whisk together the miso, Bragg's liquid aminos, honey and sesame oil.
- Place chicken in the Instant Pot. Pour sauce over the chicken. Cook at High Pressure for 20 minutes. Allow natural release.
You can continue to cook down/reduce the sauce after you remove the chicken from the Instant Pot by hitting saute or heating it up in a pot on the stove.
Did you do the eggplant in the instant pot too? Looks fab😍😍😍
Thanks Wendy! I roasted the eggplant 🙂
This was awesome. I was looking for something that was not a miso chicken soup, and found your recipe. Delish!
I’m so glad you liked it!
