Instant Pot Miso Chicken
I couldn’t find any miso chicken recipes for the Instant Pot, so I created my own! This recipe is only FIVE ingredients (including the chicken!).
I’m a big fan of anything miso—it’s not only delicious but also fantastic for gut health. As a fermented food, miso introduces beneficial microorganisms to your digestive system, supporting a happy and healthy gut.
This recipe is just as easy as my Instant Pot Asian Chicken.
My other favorite miso recipe (that I actually make at least once per week!) is my Miso Baked Meatballs. If you’re feeling seafood, check out my Miso Glazed Scallops!

Ingredients
- 1 lb chicken thighs fresh or frozen (I always cook from frozen!)
- 1/4 cup miso paste
- 1/4 cup Bragg’s Liquid Aminos or soy sauce or tamari
- 1/4 cup pure honey
- 1/2 teaspoon sesame oil probably optional, but adds flavor

Instructions
- Whisk together the miso, Bragg's liquid aminos, honey and sesame oil.
- Place chicken in the Instant Pot. Pour sauce over the chicken. Cook at High Pressure for 20 minutes. Allow natural release.
Recipe Notes
You can continue to cook down/reduce the sauce after you remove the chicken from the Instant Pot by hitting saute or heating it up in a pot on the stove.

Did you do the eggplant in the instant pot too? Looks fab😍😍😍
Thanks Wendy! I roasted the eggplant 🙂
This was awesome. I was looking for something that was not a miso chicken soup, and found your recipe. Delish!
I’m so glad you liked it!
